FAQ's
We have included these FAQ's to answer some of the most common questions on our fishing trips and boat trips, but if there is something not covered you would like to ask, please feel free to get in contact.

What happens if you cancel?If we have to cancel for any reason including weather you will be fully reimbursed.

When will we know if you can sail?We endeavour to confirm our trips 36 hours before. For example, if you are sailing on a Saturday we confirm on a Thursday evening after 6pm when the weather updates.

Are there age restrictions?We only allow children from the age of 5 years old, this is due to insurance and ensuring we have the correct life safe equipment on board.

Are dogs allowed?Dogs are not allowed on fishing trips only on private charters. Only well-behaved dogs are allowed on private charters and we are not responsible or liable for the animal whilst aboard.

Is everything included?On all charters except wrecking, equipment & tackle is included. You may wish to bring your own bait.

Where is the boat and how do we find you?The fishing boat is called Upholder and the Rib Boat is called Lopeheila. The vessels leave from Holyhead Marina’s pontoon, LL651YA. You can find us here; Anglesey Fishing & Boat Trips - Google Maps

Are there any accessibility restrictions?Upholder & Lopheila all passengers need to be able to step on the boat. On Lopheila there are 3 steps which need to be climbed down, when booking this needs to be taken into consideration and that the passengers coming aboard are able bodied. It is advised that passengers suffering with back issues take this into consideration before booking a trip on our sight-seeing vessel, Lopheila.

Can I take fish home?You can take home any fish which is in size and edible.

What species are we likely catch through the year?

Do you have a toilet on board?Yes we have a toilet on board both our vessels.

Do you offer Private charters?Yes we offer private charters. On our fishing vessel, Upholder we offer £300 for 4 hours or £500 for 9-4, you can take up to 10 passengers and a well-behaved dog if you accept the responsibility & liability. This includes all equipment. You will be able to have a hot drink on this charter. Information coming soon for private charters for our sight-seeing vessel Lopheila.

What facilities do you have on board?On general fishing/wreck fishing or private charters, hot drinks such as tea and coffee can be supplied.

What is the capacity on your boat?On our fishing vessel, Upholder the maximum passengers we can take is 10 people and on our sight-seeing vessel, Lopheila the maximum number passengers we can carry is 12 passengers.

What do I need to bring?Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Please bring any food or drinks which you would like on the charter.

When should we arrive?Please arrive 15 minutes before the charter to enable the boat to leave on time.

Is bait supplied?No bait is not supplied, sourcing in advance is advised.
